Non-Toxic Lubricants can be Environment-Friendly and Cost-Effective

There are various bio-degradeable oils that can be used while working in vulnerable areas, such as coastal or inland waterways. A green, non-toxic lubricant, known as an EAL, will have a minimal impact on a delicate ecosystem and the wildlife it supports. But choosing the right environment-friendly oil will give you outstanding performance at a cost effective price.

Non-Toxic Lubricants you can choose

Many environment-friendly oils are vegetable based triglycerides, formulated from plant or seed extracts. Others include polyglycols and synthetic hydrocarbons, which are derived from man-made mineral oils. Synthetic esters are manufactured in either fully saturated or unsaturated formats.

The Problems with some Non-Toxic Lubricants

While triglycerides have a low value in engineering due to unstable temperature performance, the polglycols have a poor record regarding anti-corrosive properties. You will observe that the oils need additional improvers leading to an overall reduction in machine performance. Unsaturated esters often transform into grease when under thermal stress.

The best Non-Toxic Lubricant

The most outstanding non-toxic lubricant you can opt for is a fully saturated synthetic ester. It has excellent thermal oxidation resistance and a remarkably well performance  in low temperatures. With a stable viscosity, it only needs very little maintenance. Your machinery, particularly your emergency equipment, will always be ready for use.

Cost-Effective Non-Toxic Lubricant

A fully saturated ester will often cost you about up to four times the amount of any other green oil. However, its excellent qualities provides a longevity of at least ten times longer. As it is a non-disposable non-toxic lubricant, you will even be able to drain, filter and store it until the lubricant is required for further use.
